This kitchen renovation presented a wonderfully creative opportunity to design a true cook’s kitchen for longtime homeowners transitioning from city living to suburban life. Inspired by an image from a British design magazine, our clients envisioned a space rooted in traditional English style, yet refined with clean, modern details.  To honor that balance, we incorporated classic elements such as a farmhouse sink and a custom hutch, complete with an unexpected charging station discreetly built into the top drawer. The island and breakfast room pendants introduce a striking interplay between modern and traditional aesthetics, creating a cohesive visual rhythm throughout the space. At our clients’ request for dramatic black cabinetry, we fully embraced the mood by pairing it with rich black stone countertops for a bold, cohesive statement. Polished brass accents provide warmth and contrast, completing a look we affectionately describe as “Modern English”.  It's a thoughtful blend of heritage charm and contemporary sophistication.
